WASHINGTON — An Uber driver in Prince George’s County has been arrested, after police stated he kidnapped and assaulted a feminine passenger.

Prince George’s County police stated Westagne Pierre, 29, of Greenbelt, was on-obligation as an Uber driver in Washington D.C. on Oct. 18. when he picked up a feminine buyer in D.C. who ordered a journey to her residence in Virginia.

“Instead of dropping her off, he took her to a hotel in College Park,” stated Officer Tyler Hunter with Prince George’s County police.

Hunter stated the lady was left on the lodge.

Police declare Pierre used the lady’s bank card close to the lodge a short while later.

Uber spokesman Brooke Anderson stated the lady contacted the journey sharing app the subsequent day to report the incident. Anderson stated that Uber has been working intently with police to help their investigation.

Anderson stated Pierre registered to drive with Uber in April.
